Reatile Energy Increases Stake in CNG Holdings, Strengthening Commitment to Natural Gas

Reatile Energy (“Reatile”), a 100% owned subsidiary of Reatile Group, today announced that it has increased its stake in CNG Holdings (“CNG”) to 61.36%, further cementing its commitment to advancing the role of natural gas in South Africa’s energy mix. This acquisition builds on Reatile’s initial 25.01% stake, which it acquired in 2014.

The new ownership structure, which includes the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) retaining the remaining shares, underscores Reatile’s long-term strategy to enhance energy security and sustainability through the use of natural gas. The partnership aligns with Reatile’s ongoing efforts to support South Africa’s transition to cleaner energy sources while ensuring reliable access to affordable power. With an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and sustainability, Reatile and CNG arepoised to play a key role in shaping the future of South Africa’s energy landscape.
